Founded as a German family company in 1931, Fuchs today is a group with global reach. Among the independent producers, Fuchs is the world's largest supplier of industrial lubricants, with several thousand employees in its many operations worldwide. Fuchs leading position is supported by an extensive range of core program lubricants, with tailor-made solutions for various markets.

The lubricants in the Titan  and Wm Penn automotive range meets, and in many cases exceeds the required specifications of all the major motor and gearbox manufacturers. Fuchs provides the production lubricants as well as the factory fill to some of the top/best known vehicles in Europe and elsewhere. Titan Supersyn SAE 5W50 synthetic engine oil was successfully tested by Porsche. The latest addition to our automotive range is the Titan Truck Plus 15W40 which is approved by a number of engine manufacturers including Cummins, Volvo, Daimler Crysler and MAN. The high tech Titan and Silkolene lubricants are used extensively by the top racing teams both locally and around the world.

Throughout the world, Fuchs' specialized mining lubricants are market leaders in their various fields. The Ceplattyn range of open gear greases are approved on mills and crushers throughout the mining industry and our fire resistant hydraulic fluids, and rope dressings are also widely used. The benefits of using these highly specialized products are backed by our service engineers and computer based condition monitoring.

Apart from our normal range of hydraulic, gear, slideway and compressor oils, Fuchs also has a comprehensive range of neat and soluble metal working fluids, synthetic refrigeration oils and a wide range of greases. Fuchs supplies South Africa's leading supplier of wire ropes. Our anticorrosion fluids are used by the country's major steel manufacturers and by most vehicle manufacturers.
